Bonnie Peterson & Diane Cooper: Textiles
Houghton, Michigan artist Bonnie Peterson uses embroidery on textiles to communicate provocative environmental and social issues. Chicago artist Diane Cooper displays a Japanese aesthetic in her work. Her constructions employ fiber, leather, wood and bits of society’s detritus.

July 8 - August 16
Where Land Meets Sky
Painters Lars-Birger Sponberg and Paul Weber will feature mid-west landscapes in oil. Dennis Downes will exhibit bronze sculptures of Native American trail marker trees and watercolor landscapes.

August 23– September 29
FLEX: 3-D 12 Sculpture Group
The exhibit features the sculptural works of eight Chicago area artists who explore the innovative use of wide variety of materials.

October 4 – November 10
Recent Works: A Juried Competition
This 33rd annual competition includes all fine art media and is open to all artists who reside or work in Lake County. Approximately $2,000 will be presented in cash prizes and purchase awards for the college’s art collection.
